The PBOC conducted RMB662.5 billion of 7-day reverse repos at an unchanged rate of 1.4%; with RMB420.3 billion maturing today, resulting in a net daily injection of RMB242.2 billion. The three major A-share indices opened 0.3% to 0.5% lower and showed mixed performance by midday. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 10 pts, or 0.25%, to 4,096 at midday, with turnover of RMB972.784 billion. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 52 pts, or 0.33%, to 15,906, with turnover of RMB1.11 trillion. The ChiNext Index gained 17 pts, or 0.42%, to 4,209, with turnover of RMB523.343 billion. Among banks, ICBC (601398.SH) -0.080 (-1.084%) fell 1.1%, while CCB (601939.SH) -0.110 (-1.092%) and CMB (600036.SH) -0.360 (-0.963%) dropped 1.1% and 1%, respectively. Insurers CHINA LIFE (601628.SH) -0.480 (-1.327%) and CHINA PACIFIC INSURANCE (601601.SH) -0.740 (-2.419%) declined 1.3% and 2.4%. BYD Company (002594.SZ) -2.000 (-2.353%) slid 2.4%, while CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ) +2.270 (+0.578%) rose 0.6%. In the chip sector, SMIC (688981.SH) +12.530 (+8.843%) advanced 8.8% and HUA HONG GRACE (688347.SH) +27.920 (+9.559%) jumped 9.6%. AI chipmaker CAMBRICON (688256.SH) +10.200 (+0.722%) edged up 0.7%. Domestic GPU makers METAX (688802.SH) -23.980 (-3.118%) and MOORE THREADS (688795.SH) -18.030 (-2.561%) fell 3.1% and 2.6%, respectively. LQKJ (688008.SH) +2.000 (+0.775%) gained 0.8%. YANGTZE OPTICAL FIBRE (601869.SH) -4.680 (-0.820%) slipped 0.8%. Memory chip firm GIGADEVICE (603986.SH) +19.210 (+2.997%) rose 3%. Newly listed 688797.SH opened 9.05x higher on debut and closed at RMB442 at midday, up 8.92x. LUXSHARE PRECISION (002475.SZ) +4.340 (+6.257%) rose 6.3% after the Hong Kong listing committee reviewed its H-share listing application. CRO-related stocks performed strongly, with APPTEC (603259.SH) +10.630 (+9.999%) and ASYMCHEM (002821.SZ) +12.870 (+10.000%) hitting limit up. The BIO2026 global biotechnology conference is being held in San Diego, the US, from Jun 22 to 25, where the efficiency advantages of Chinese CXO companies have drawn significant attention.
