The report indicates that the total amount of issues exceeds several hundred billion yuan (RMB). The audit identified and referred over 260 significant disciplinary and legal violations, involving more than 1,100 individuals and over 91 billion yuan in funds. Among them, the report pointed out that from April 2023 to August 2025, Bank of China arranged for two of its subordinate financial institutions to serve as business channels, using a large number of its employees to contribute amounts ranging from 1 yuan to 100 yuan to "meet the headcount," packaging 11 private equity funds as public fund products, and taking advantage of the tax exemption policy for public funds to accumulate 2.367 billion yuan.
