Australian online stockbroker CommSec has temporarily imposed sell-only restrictions on several Australian crypto ETFs that include in-kind redemption features, Monochrome CEO Jeff Yew said in a social media post. According to Foresight News, the affected products include IBTC, EBTC, EETH, and IETH. Yew said IBTC and IETH can still be traded through other brokers. He added that the team is communicating with CommSec to explain the operational framework for IBTC and IETH’s in-kind subscription and redemption process, as well as the investor protection mechanisms involved.
