Hermès has launched its Plein Air outdoor makeup line’s “radiant soft-light” skincare foundation in China, positioning it as a skincare-infused base makeup product, according to Jiemian News. The foundation comes in 34 shades and Hermès says the formula contains about 82% skincare ingredients, including niacinamide, a hyaluronic acid derivative and white mulberry extract. Hermès’ perfume and beauty revenue rose from 448 million euros in 2022 to 535 million euros in 2024, but fell to 489 million euros in 2025, down 8% year on year. In the first quarter of 2026, sales in the segment were 127 million euros, up 0.2% year on year at constant exchange rates. Hermès CFO Eric du Halgouët said in October 2025 that skincare is in an exploration phase and is expected to be formally launched after 2028. Hermès also appointed Anne-Sarah Panhard as managing director of its perfume and beauty division in November 2025, replacing Agnès de Villers.
