The company's stock price rose 0.54% on Tuesday, closing at $388.84. The report noted that in the past, Microsoft relied more on OpenAI and Anthropic for products like Excel and Outlook, but now tens of thousands of AI prompts are being completed by the company's internally developed MAI model each week. Although this still represents a small proportion of overall AI usage, it shows that the company is making progress in creating competitive AI models at a lower cost. ## Partnership with OpenAI Set to Expire Additionally, the MAI model can also be used in the AI-assisted software development service GitHub Copilot. Meanwhile, Mustafa Suleyman, head of the company's AI model division, stated that a self-developed transcription model will begin to be applied in Teams video conferencing applications and other products in the coming months. The report also mentioned that Microsoft has used a large number of tokens in products like its office assistant Copilot. Due to its long-term partnership with OpenAI, it currently receives significant discounts on this technology. However, as the partnership is set to expire, Suleyman's team is working hard to ensure that Microsoft does not fall into a situation where it is at the mercy of top AI laboratories' pricing ### Related Stocks - [MSFT.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFT.US.md) - [MSFL.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFL.US.md) - [ANTH.NA](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/ANTH.NA.md) - [MSFO.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFO.US.md) - [MSFD.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFD.US.md) - [MSFU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFU.US.md) - [MSFW.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFW.US.md) - [MSFX.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFX.US.md) - [MSFY.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MSFY.US.md) - [MAGX.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/MAGX.US.md) - [OpenAI.NA](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/OpenAI.NA.md) ## Related News & Research - ['A Change Is Coming,' Says Gil Luria About Microsoft Stock](https://longbridge.com/en/news/291852861.md) - [Microsoft Is Letting Go Employees Amid AI Investments And Xbox Restructuring](https://longbridge.com/en/news/291845965.md) - [Microsoft cuts 4,800 jobs across sales and Xbox.
