Sharon Zackfia has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, including Kura Sushi’s ability to deliver profit above expectations despite softer sales trends. The company’s adjusted EBITDA grew meaningfully, supported by unit-level margins that expanded far more than projected, demonstrating strong operational discipline and cost management.

Sharon also notes that, while same-store sales modestly declined and traffic was pressured by higher gas prices, customer spending per visit increased faster than menu pricing. This reflects successful initiatives like Kura Reserve that are lifting average check and suggests the concept’s value proposition and brand engagement remain intact, supporting a favorable long-term outlook.

In another report released on June 30, D.A. Davidson also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $70.00 price target.
