The second quarter highlighted that improving backdrop with the historic debut of SpaceX, whose $85.7 billion offering became the largest IPO ever completed on Wall Street. More importantly, the recovery extended well beyond a single blockbuster. Even excluding SpaceX, the quarter still marked the strongest period for IPO proceeds since 2021, while larger offerings continued to perform well, with IPOs raising more than $100 million. A healthy pipeline of prospective listings, including confidential filings from companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI, also suggests the momentum could continue. Against this backdrop, Bank of America analysts believe two recently public companies may not rival SpaceX in size, but they have significant room to grow. Using the latest research from BofA together with TipRanks' data, let's take a closer look at why the banking giant remains optimistic about both names. **Quantinuum** **(QNT)** We'll start in the world of quantum computing, where Quantinuum, a newcomer in a new field, has built a place for itself. The company formed in 2021 through the merger of Cambridge Quantum and Honeywell Quantum Solutions, creating a standalone firm that combined pioneering quantum software with high-performance quantum hardware. Quantinuum's Model H1 quantum computer was the first commercial-grade quantum system to offer greater than 99.9% two-qubit gate fidelity. The company's Model H2 introduced the racetrack architecture and increased the system to 56 fully connected qubits. And finally, the Quantinuum Helios, the latest model, Helios, is described by the company as the world's most accurate commercial quantum computer, with 99.921% two-qubit gate fidelity, 98 fully connected qubits, and 48 logical qubits. Helios features Nvidia GPUs integrated into the control system, and it is designed from the start to accelerate the enterprise adoption of quantum computing. All of this makes Quantinuum a leader in the world's fast-growing quantum computing industry. Quantinuum makes a claim that it is the world's largest integrated quantum computing company, and following its IPO, which valued the company at more than $19 billion, that claim carries additional weight. It's backed up by the IPO, held at the beginning of June, which saw the company put 28 million shares on the market at $60 each to raise $1.68 billion in gross proceeds. Among the bulls is Bank of America's 5-star analyst Vivek Arya, ranked by TipRanks among the top 1% of Wall Street analysts, who is impressed by both the quantum computing industry and Quantinuum's place in it. "The quantum computing market remains early stage but with potential to scale meaningfully as the industry continues to develop quantum hardware and total compute capabilities and quantum algorithms/software to accelerate existing workloads and/or unlock new compute capabilities… We believe QNT can capture roughly 25% market share long term via their early demonstrated performance lead. Further, by pricing to end user value creation, QNT should be able to capture >25% of total end-user value from 2030 onwards (via Apollo and Lumos systems)," Arya noted. Arya goes on to outline additional factors in his quantum company's favor, adding, "QNT's valuation should benefit from being the first major traditional IPO for a full-stack quantum computing company, rather than another SPAC/de-SPAC listing. Prior public pure-play quantum comps such as IonQ, Rigetti and D-Wave entered public markets via SPAC mergers, which helped create public-market access to the theme but also left the sector with a more speculative, high-volatility investor base and less conventional IPO price discovery." The top-ranked analyst goes on to rate QNT shares as a Buy, and he puts a $100 price target on the stock to imply a one-year upside potential of ~29%.
