# Sino-Ocean Subsidiary Flags RMB16.93 Billion in Overdue Debt as Legal Pressures Persist

Sino-Ocean Group Holding ( (HK:3377) ) has provided an announcement.

Sino-Ocean Group Holding has disclosed updated financial distress at its wholly owned subsidiary, Beijing Sino-Ocean Group Holding Limited, which reported RMB16.93 billion of overdue borrowings as of 30 June 2026, down slightly from the end of 2025. The arrears span bank loans, public market financing and other interest-bearing liabilities owed to non-bank institutions, reflecting ongoing strain in the subsidiary’s funding and repayment capacity.

The company said there were no new major litigations in June but noted procedural changes in two existing cases and one new dishonest judgment debtor listing, underscoring persistent legal and credit pressures. Sino-Ocean acknowledged the adverse impact of these issues on production and debt-repayment ability, while stressing that daily management and operations remain normal and that it is actively negotiating with creditors to craft holistic solutions and meet disclosure obligations, urging investors to exercise caution.

**More about Sino-Ocean Group Holding**

Sino-Ocean Group Holding Limited is a Hong Kong-incorporated company listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, operating through subsidiaries in mainland China. Its wholly owned unit, Beijing Sino-Ocean Group Holding Limited, is a key onshore financing and operating platform, with debt securities also traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, making the group closely watched by equity and bond investors.

The group’s operations and capital structure are exposed to China’s property and credit markets, where tighter liquidity and slower sales have heightened refinancing and repayment risks for highly leveraged developers. As a result, Sino-Ocean’s ability to manage overdue borrowings and litigation developments at its core subsidiary is critical for its broader financial stability and stakeholder confidence.
