The RMB central parity against USD was set at 6.7990, down 18 bps from the previous day. The PBOC conducted RMB236.5 billion of 7-day reverse repo operations, while RMB10 billion of reverse repos matured today, resulting in a net injection of RMB226.5 billion in a single day. The three major A-share indices opened little changed. The SH Comp opened down 4 pts or 0.12% at 3,909. The SZ Component Index opened up 9 pts or 0.07% at 14,532. The ChiNext Index opened up 6 pts or 0.16% at 3,729. Bank stocks were soft. ICBC (601398.SH) -0.030 (-0.398%) and CCB (601939.SH) -0.180 (-1.768%) opened down 0.9% and 1.4%, respectively, while CMB (600036.SH) -0.280 (-0.752%) opened down 0.4%. Insurers CHINA LIFE (601628.SH) -0.580 (-1.537%) opened down 0.6%, while CHINA PACIFIC INSURANCE (601601.SH) -0.360 (-1.217%) opened up 0.1%. In addition, BYD Company (002594.SZ) +2.220 (+2.552%) opened down 0.1%. CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX (300750.SZ) -1.950 (-0.543%) opened down 1.8%. Among chip stocks, SMIC (688981.SH) -9.460 (-5.783%) and HUA HONG GRACE (688347.SH) -8.400 (-2.400%) opened up 1.3% and 1.4%, respectively. AI chip stock CAMBRICON (688256.SH) -14.800 (-1.065%) opened up 1.4%. Domestic GPU stocks METAX (688802.SH) +12.140 (+1.248%) and MOORE THREADS (688795.SH) -14.900 (-2.081%) opened down 0.7% and up 1.9%, respectively. LQKJ (688008.SH) +1.000 (+0.396%) opened flat. Optical fibre stock YANGTZE OPTICAL FIBRE (601869.SH) +3.130 (+0.820%) opened flat. Memory chip stock GIGADEVICE (603986.SH) +9.300 (+1.688%) opened up 0.04%. Among the three major optical module players, ZHONGJI INNOLIGHT (300308.SZ) +1.080 (+0.097%) opened up 0.05%, TFC (300394.SZ) -5.010 (-1.932%) opened down 0.8%, while EOPTOLINK (300502.SZ) +13.000 (+2.537%) opened up 2.4%. As tensions between the US and Iran remained elevated and international oil prices rose, oil stocks stayed firm. COSL (601808.SH) +0.450 (+3.954%) and PETROCHINA (601857.SH) +0.170 (+1.760%) both opened more than 1% higher.
