# OmniVision Controlling Shareholder Adjusts Share Pledges While Retaining Control

An announcement from Omnivision Integrated Circuits Group, Inc. Class H ( (HK:0501) ) is now available.

OmniVision Integrated Circuits Group, Inc. disclosed that chairman and controlling shareholder Yu Renrong has released a previous pledge over 13.2 million A shares, equal to about 1.05% of the company’s issued share capital. On the same date, he pledged 9 million A shares, or roughly 0.72% of issued capital, to Huaneng Guicheng Trust to secure bona fide financing.

The company stated that Huaneng Guicheng Trust is an independent third party and not a connected person under Hong Kong listing rules. The trust has undertaken not to enforce its security in a way that would cause Yu to breach ownership restrictions or lose his status as controlling shareholder, and the new pledge is confirmed as falling outside the scope of Rule 13.17 of the Listing Rules.
