The US Dollar Index Falls About 0.2% for the Week

At the New York close on Friday (July 17), the ICE US Dollar Index was roughly flat at 100.766 points, down 0.18% for the week, with an overall trading range of 101.327-100.353 points. US CPI and PPI data triggered two significant waves of declines.

The Bloomberg US Dollar Index rose 0.09% to 1217.29 points, down 0.14% for the week, within a trading range of 1222.56-1212.47 points.

USD/JPY rose 0.04% to 162.46 yen, up 0.48% for the week, with a trading range of 161.62-162.55 yen.

EUR/JPY gained 0.69% for the week to 185.84 yen; GBP/JPY rose 0.86% for the week to 218.611 yen.
