# Shanghai Electric Forecasts 12% To 22% Rise In Half-Year Profit

Shanghai Electric (2727) issued a profit alert and said it expects first-half net profit attributable to shareholders to be RMB 920 million to RMB 1 billion, up about 12% to 22% year on year, according to Ming Pao. The company said the improvement was mainly due to better performance in some core businesses, along with government subsidies recognized during the period and non-recurring gains from the disposal of equity interests in certain subsidiaries.
