# Citi: Strong Fundamentals of MONTAGE TECH; Buy Rating Reiterated

After MONTAGE TECH (06809.HK) +28.200 (+10.682%) Short selling $116.93M; Ratio 8.803% announced its earnings preview for 1H26, the South Korean antitrust investigation and share repurchase plan, Citi conducted follow-up discussions with the company's management.

Despite near-term share price volatility, the company's business fundamentals remain strong, the broker opined. Thanks to easing substrate supply tightness, revenue and profit in 2Q26 both hit record highs, while contributions from new products (Gen 3/4 RCD, MRCD/MDB, PCIe retimer, CXL) further increased.

Citi maintained its TP for MONTAGE TECH H shares at HKD305 and reiterated its Buy rating, citing that the premium of the H shares over the A shares of LQKJ (688008.SH) +19.990 (+10.524%) reflects international investors' preference for this scarce AI-themed target.
