# PolyPid Strikes Azurity Commercialization Deal for D-PLEX100 in U.S. and Canada

An update from PolyPid ( (PYPD) ) is now available.

On July 17, 2026, PolyPid entered into an exclusive license and supply agreement with Azurity Pharmaceuticals for commercialization of D-PLEX100 in the U.S. and Canada for the prevention of surgical site infections. The deal includes $15 million upfront, a $15 million near-term milestone linked to FDA NDA acceptance, potential additional milestone payments of about $300 million, and tiered royalties, while PolyPid retains rights outside North America and will manufacture and supply the product.

The partnership, announced on July 21, 2026, follows strong Phase 3 SHIELD II trial data for D-PLEX100 and marks PolyPid’s shift toward becoming a commercial-stage company. By leveraging Azurity’s specialized commercial model and funding for possible label expansions beyond abdominal indications, the collaboration is set to strengthen PolyPid’s financial position, validate its Kynatrix technology platform, and enhance its competitive standing in infection prevention therapies.
