# Archer Aviation's (ACHR) Defense and AI Push Raises the Stakes Ahead of Q2 Earnings

Archer Aviation Inc. (ACHR), an electric aircraft developer, has added several new growth projects just weeks before its second-quarter earnings report, giving investors more reasons to watch the stock but few new numbers to value.

Shares jumped more than 19% on Monday after Archer and defense technology company Anduril unveiled Thunder, a hybrid-electric autonomous aircraft designed for military and commercial use. The move pushed Archer beyond its core air taxi plans and into defense aviation, where government programs can offer larger budgets and longer contracts.

The announcement expands Archer's potential market, but it does not yet change its near-term financial outlook. The companies did not disclose contract values, production targets, or expected revenue.
