He said the airline cannot yet confirm that conclusion. The aircraft was an 18-year-old Boeing 737 operated by Ryanair subsidiary Malta Air. Serbian national Ljubisa Karović was partially sucked out of a window, leaving him seriously injured and in shock, after the plane made an emergency landing. His wife told BBC Serbia that she and two other passengers held his legs for several minutes as they pulled him back inside. O'Leary said the engine had been fully serviced and overhauled in the last two years. The US National Transportation Safety Board is investigating, and O'Leary said a draft report would be issued in about 28 days. He said a finding that an external object caused the damage could affect Ryanair or Boeing's liabilities. ### Related Stocks - [BA.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BA.US.md) - [RYAAY.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/RYAAY.US.md) - [BOEU.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BOEU.US.md) - [BOED.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BOED.US.md) - [BOEG.US](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BOEG.US.md) - [RYA.UK](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/RYA.UK.md) - [BOE.UK](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/BOE.UK.md) ## Related News & Research - [Ryanair cuts winter flights to fight soaring fuel costs](https://longbridge.com/en/news/297793279.md) - [Ethiopian Airlines nears Boeing cargo plane order, sources say](https://longbridge.com/en/news/297796590.md) - [Boeing's $3.1 Million Fine Is Tiny--and That's the Problem](https://longbridge.com/en/news/298070224.md) - [Boeing paid $3.1 million fine to FAA over widespread safety violations](https://longbridge.com/en/news/297820744.md) - [Boeing, engineers union agree to resume contract talks on Sept 8, union says](https://longbridge.com/en/news/297566680.md) --- > **Disclaimer: This article is for reference only and does not constitute any investment advice.**
