# Why Is Webull Stock Surging on Tuesday?

**Webull** (NASDAQ:BULL) stock traded higher on Tuesday, following platform enhancements.

The Nasdaq is up 1.71%, while the S&P 500 has gained 0.76%. Financials are also modestly higher, up 0.2%, helping maintain a supportive market backdrop.

 **• Webull stock is among today’s top performers. Why are BULL shares rallying?**

The online investment platform announced the expansion of its paperTrade environment beyond stocks and options. The upgraded simulation now includes crypto, futures, bonds and event contracts, supported by an updated pricing engine. Since launch, users have placed over 204 million simulated orders on paperTrade.

Webull also added OpenAPI access for paperTrade, enabling developers and automated tools to simulate workflows programmatically.

Before Tuesday’s product release, Wall Street firm **Rosenblatt** maintained a Buy rating on Webull stock and raised its price target to $13 on July 16.

## **Key Technical Levels for BULL Stock**

From a trend perspective, the stock is now back above its key moving averages, trading 13.4% above the 20-day SMA ($7.19), 19.5% above the 50-day SMA ($6.82), and 6.6% above the 200-day SMA ($7.65). That’s constructive for the intermediate trend, but the longer-term backdrop is still mixed because the 50-day SMA remains below the 200-day SMA (a bearish longer-term alignment).

Momentum is improving: MACD is above its signal line and the histogram is positive, which suggests downside pressure is easing and the recent upswing is gaining traction.

Key levels are getting close enough to matter for trade planning:

-   **Key Resistance**: $8.50 — Nearby pivot/round-number area where rebounds can stall.
-   **Key Support**: $6.50 — Prior buyer area that sits near the stock’s recent lower trading zone

Zooming out, the 12-month performance is still down 44.24%, so this rally is best read as a recovery attempt inside a bigger drawdown unless price can keep building above the 200-day area and hold higher lows.
