# Quantum Computing Sector Rises in After-Hours Trading, IONQ Up Nearly 3%, QBTS Gains Over 1%

According to reports, the quantum computing sector showed broad gains during after-hours trading on Tuesday (July 21). As of press time, major stocks in the sector were all in positive territory. Leader IonQ (IONQ.US) stood out with a rise of nearly 3% to $36.55, followed by D-Wave Quantum (QBTS.US), which gained over 1% to $17.97.

Specifically, IonQ traded at $36.546 in after-hours sessions, up 2.92% from its regular session close of $35.510. The stock hit a high of $36.065 during regular trading hours, showing significant intraday volatility and continued investor interest after the bell. D-Wave Quantum quoted at $17.970 post-market, up 0.96% from the previous close of $17.800, having touched a high of $18.020 earlier, indicating strong resistance above.

Other stocks in the sector also performed well. Rigetti Computing (RGTI.US) traded at $15.450 after hours, up 1.11% from its regular close of $15.280.
