# A-Share Firms Draw Heavier Institutional Research as AI-Led Electronics Stand Out

Since July, 375 listed companies in China's A-share market have received institutional research visits, with the electronics sector, helped by AI-related growth, emerging as a focus area, according to Jiemian News. Among them, 22 companies including Eoptolink Technology, BOE A, Han's Laser, and Huaqin Technology were researched by more than 50 institutions each, while Eoptolink topped the list with 417 institutional visits. Eoptolink said its second-quarter earnings guidance was broadly in line with its expectations at the start of the year, citing higher order delivery demand, easing supply-chain tightness, and a smaller impact from foreign-exchange losses. Of the 375 companies, 112 had already released 2026 half-year earnings-related announcements. Based on preliminary net profit and the lower end of earnings guidance, 13 were expected to swing to profit, two were expected to narrow losses, and 67 were expected to post year-on-year growth in net profit attributable to shareholders. Data also showed that 67 of the 375 companies were surveyed by foreign institutions, with electronics firms accounting for 19 of them, followed by 10 machinery and equipment companies.
