# AI TRENDS | Tesla Investors Focus on Robotaxi, Optimus and AI Strategy Ahead of Q2 Results

Tesla will report second-quarter results after Wednesday's close. According to Jin10, investors are paying more attention to the signals Elon Musk sends on the earnings call, especially the latest progress on Robotaxi, humanoid robot Optimus and its AI strategy. Morgan Stanley analyst Andrew Percoco said Robotaxi and Optimus remain the main factors driving the stock's performance, and expects both businesses to receive positive updates in the report, though they may still not be enough to trigger a decisive change in the market's valuation of the company. As the company continues to ramp up data centers, AI infrastructure and robot manufacturing capacity, capital expenditure this year is expected to reach $25 billion. LSEG data show Tesla's Q2 free cash flow is expected to be a net outflow of $3.3 billion, which would be the first quarterly cash outflow in more than two years. Morgan Stanley said investors are increasingly focused on whether Tesla's large-scale spending is truly strengthening its competitive edge in physical AI and when those investments will translate into profits.
