# This Healthcare Giant Just Raised Its Dividend 15%

Healthcare concern McKesson (MCK) has raised its quarterly dividend payment by 15%.

The company, which delivers pharmaceutical drugs and medical supplies, and specializes in health information technology, has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.94 per share, up 14.6% from a previous distribution of $0.82.

The new dividend gives MCK stock a yield 0.45%. The raised dividend will be paid on Oct. 1 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 1 this year. It is the 10 consecutive year that McKesson has raised its quarterly dividend as the company prioritizes returns to shareholders. 

## **McKesson’s Continued Growth**

In a news release, Brian Tyler, chair and CEO of McKesson, said the increased divided payment reflects the company’s business strength, long-term growth prospects, and its disciplined approach to capital allocation. The company operates in a niche business and specializes in medication deliveries to hospitals and other healthcare institutions. 

The dividend hike comes before McKesson is next scheduled to issues its quarterly financial results on Aug. 5 of this year. In its most recent earnings report, McKesson reported earnings per share (EPS) of $11.69 and quarterly revenue of $96.30 billion. For its 2026 fiscal year, the company announced revenue of $403.4 billion and EPS of $39.11.

McKesson stock has a consensus Strong Buy rating among 12 Wall Street analysts. That rating is based on 11 Buy and one Hold recommendations issued in the last three months. The average MCK price target of $935.55 implies 14% upside from current levels.
