# Zhongman Petroleum Says Iraq Drilling Crews Remain on Standby Amid Middle East Conflict

Zhongman Petroleum said its shares met the criteria for abnormal trading after the stock’s closing price deviated by more than 20% over two consecutive trading days on July 22 and July 23, 2026. According to Jin10, the company said several of its drilling crews in Iraq remained suspended and on standby because of the Middle East geopolitical conflict, with 9 of its 14 deployed crews in Iraq still on standby as of the announcement. The company also said crude oil sales from its Wensu oilfield fell from a year earlier. It added that other production and business activities were operating normally, while the market environment and industry policy had not undergone major adjustments and internal operations remained stable.
