# Honda Confirms Next-Generation Ridgeline Will Be Produced in the U.S.

According to CNBC, Honda Motor confirmed that a next-generation Ridgeline pickup truck will be produced in the U.S. after a temporary production stoppage later this year. The Alabama plant that assembles the midsize truck will halt production later this year and is expected to resume building the vehicle within two years, likely in 2028. Lance Woelfer, vice president of auto sales at American Honda Motor, said the company wants to keep serving loyal Ridgeline customers while adding more ruggedness and capability to the truck. He declined to say whether the next version will use a body-on-frame structure. Honda also said the future Ridgeline model was teased in an image released on July 23, 2026. Ridgeline sales fell about 3% in the first half of the year, and Honda has sold roughly 41,000 to 52,000 of the trucks annually since 2021, versus more than 270,000 Toyota Tacoma units sold in 2025.
