# Reddit's (RDDT) Ad Business Is Thriving, but Google (GOOGL) Is a Risk

The advertising business at Reddit (RDDT) continues to thrive, but Alphabet (GOOGL) is increasingly becoming a traffic risk. Reddit operates a community-driven platform whose uniquely human-generated discussions are valuable to both advertisers and artificial intelligence (AI) companies. This supports a compelling long-term monetization opportunity, keeping me bullish on the stock.

Even so, the Google risk can't be ignored. Third-party search data suggests Reddit's AI-translated pages have lost Google rankings. Reddit may also restrict Google's access to its content to train AI models, introducing another source of volatility.
