# Analyst Reiterates Buy on TotalEnergies with Unchanged $82 Target, Citing Earnings Resilience and Strong Future Cash Flows

In a report released today, Christopher Kuplent from Bank of America Securities reiterated a Buy rating on TotalEnergies SE, with a price target of €82.00.

Christopher Kuplent has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that highlight both earnings resilience and cash flow strength. He views TotalEnergies as his preferred name among the major oil companies and notes that the company’s second-quarter results underscored the benefits of its broad, integrated portfolio, even with a portion of production constrained by geopolitical bottlenecks.

Kuplent also emphasizes that his forecasts still imply meaningful upside to market expectations for 2026 cash flow and returns, supporting a continued Buy stance with an unchanged $82 price target. In his view, TotalEnergies offers an attractive total distribution yield around 8% in 2026 and is poised for strong free cash flow generation toward 2028, outperforming peers under mid-cycle commodity price assumptions.

In another report released today, UBS also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a €86.00 price target.
