# CATL  Plans Up to RMB40 Billion A-Share Buyback

CATL (03750.HK) +18.000 (+2.894%) Short selling $419.39M; Ratio 36.363% announced a new A-share buyback plan with a size ranging from RMB20 billion to RMB40 billion. The company plans to cancel the repurchased shares to reduce registered capital, further enhance EPS and strengthen shareholders' equity.

As of April 7 this year, the A-share buyback plan announced in April 2025 with a maximum total amount of RMB8 billion had been completed. During the period, CATL cumulatively repurchased 15.9908 million A-shares for a total transaction amount of RMB4.386 billion.
