# Hong Kong IPOs Capture Liquidity as Traditional Financials Grapple with Restructuring

The Hong Kong market is seeing a stark structural divergence as newly minted consumer and hardware IPOs absorb significant liquidity, while traditional financials and real estate players navigate asset quality repairs and consolidation, according to recent corporate filings and market data.

### IPO Wave Gathers Momentum

In the consumer sector, Bloks (0325.HK) is emerging as a standout following its rapid overseas expansion. The company reported a **30%** jump in its 2025 total revenue to **RMB 2.91B**, with international sales skyrocketing to RMB 319M. Since its January 2025 debut, the stock has maintained strong trading volume. Joining the post-IPO momentum is MAOGEPING (1318.HK). The premium domestic beauty brand, which closed a massively oversubscribed IPO in late 2024, is targeting further offline penetration and international expansion in 2026, according to people familiar with the matter.

On the hardware front, SEER (6106.HK) debuted in June 2026 as a pure-play robotics brain provider. While 2025 shipments surged **70%** to over **12,000 units**, average selling prices for its core controllers are coming under pressure, weighing on its margin profile and leading to volatile intraday trading following the listing.

### Financials and Real Estate Repricing

Away from the IPOs, legacy financial institutions are still clearing their balance sheets. China Minsheng Bank (1988.HK) reported Q1 2026 revenue of **RMB 37.82B**, but net income fell **9.64%** as the lender booked RMB 13.89B in credit impairment losses. The management is effectively trading near-term profit for asset quality remediation.

Conversely, some peers are posting record growth. China Taiping (0966.HK) saw its 2025 net profit soar **220.9%** to **HKD 27.05B**, driven by the turnaround in its participating insurance business. CICC (3908.HK) also posted a **71.93%** jump in 2025 net profit and is nearing a deal to absorb Dongxing and Xinda Securities. Meanwhile, mid-tier lenders The Bank of East Asia (0023.HK) and Dah Sing Financial (0440.HK) have seen muted trading action recently as capital rotates toward higher-growth names.

### Other Movements

In real estate, Hang Lung Properties (0101.HK) reported 2025 total revenue of **HKD 9.95B**. The developer recently commenced trial operations at its Hangzhou Hang Lung Plaza in April 2026, seeking to establish a new cash flow anchor amidst a broader softening in mainland luxury mall tenant sales. Elsewhere, healthcare player Nanjing Sinolife United (3332.HK) has lacked clear fundamental catalysts to drive any meaningful repricing.
