In early Asian trading on Friday, NASDAQ futures rose more than 0.5%, while S&P 500 index futures and Dow Jones futures gained over 0.1%.

Apple is currently down more than 6.5% (in after-hours U.S. trading), with its conference call concluded; Microsoft fell 0.7%; Taiwan Semiconductor, AMD, Seagate Technology, Intel, Western Digital, and SanDisk rose 1.34%-5.07%; Amazon, which released its earnings report, jumped 9.3%.
