# KB LAMINATES Expects Interim Net Profit to Exceed HKD2.8B, Up 2x+

KB LAMINATES (01888.HK) +4.360 (+14.962%) Short selling $215.32M; Ratio 8.236% issued a positive profit alert, expecting to record interim net profit of more than HKD2.8 billion for the period ended June 2026, representing a YoY increase of more than 200%.  

The significant increase in the net profits of the Group for the Reporting Period is primarily attributable to the tight market of laminate products and its upstream materials, including electronic fibreglass yarn, electronic fibreglass fabric and copper foil. The unit price of the Group’s laminate products and its upstream materials has increased significantly, and the sales quantity of laminate products has also increased as compared with the corresponding period in 2025. The increase in the net profit is also attributable to the Group’s strong and comprehensive vertical integration business model.
