# Mitsubishi Electric to Support Earthquake Relief in Kumamoto

In Tokyo, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (TOKYO: 6503) declared its commitment to assisting victims of the recent earthquakes in Kumamoto, Japan. The corporation will donate 50 million yen (about U.S.$306,000) towards relief efforts. Additionally, through the Mitsubishi Electric SOCIO-ROOTS Fund, the group intends to contribute further by matching and doubling donations made by employees. The Mitsubishi Electric Group extends its heartfelt condolences to all affected by the disasters.
