# BOJ Slightly Raises Econ Growth Forecasts for This and Next Year

The Bank of Japan held a monetary policy meeting and decided to keep the current policy interest rate unchanged at 1%, in line with market expectations.

The Bank of Japan also raised its Econ growth forecast for this year to 0.6%, higher than the 0.5% projected in April; next year's Econ growth forecast was also revised upward from 0.7% to 0.8%. (su/a)
