# Reports Say Mainland Approves 8 New Nuclear Power Units With Total Investment Expected to Exceed RMB170 billion

A State Council executive meeting decided to approve four nuclear power projects, including the first phase project in Zhuanghe, Liaoning. According to a report by The Paper citing sources, the new projects approved at the meeting include the second phase of Zhejiang Jinqimen Nuclear Power Project (Units 3 and 4), the third phase of Guangdong Taipingling Nuclear Power Project (Units 5 and 6), the first phase of Liaoning Zhuanghe Nuclear Power Project (Units 1 and 2), and the first phase of Shandong Laiyang Nuclear Power Project (Units 1 and 2), involving a total of eight new units. The combined investment in the above projects is estimated to exceed RMB170 billion.

It is understood that the three major state-owned nuclear power enterprises, namely China National Nuclear Corporation, CGN POWER (01816.HK) +0.060 (+2.076%) Short selling $12.48M; Ratio 18.015% , and State Power Investment Corporation, all obtained approvals for new projects this time.
