# Kingboard Holdings climbs 4% in Hong Kong on interim profit guidance

Kingboard Holdings (148.HK) climbed **3.83%** in Hong Kong trading to **HK$40.70**, after the company guided interim net profit for the six months ending June 30, 2026 to exceed **HK$2.7 billion**, up roughly 4% from a year earlier. The copper-clad laminate (CCL) unit posted a more than 200% surge in segment profit, driven by persistent supply shortages of electronic glass fiber yarn, electronic glass fiber fabric, copper foil and CCL products, which lifted both unit prices and sales volumes.

The company said the supply shortage of CCL and its upstream materials is intensifying, and its vertically integrated business model is well-positioned to benefit. However, losses from certain investment businesses partially offset the profit gains from the CCL segment.
