# National Grid Trims Executive Committee Ranks in Simplification Push

National Grid said it will cut the number of executives on its executive committee in a bid to increase accountability and delivery across the business. 

The U.K.-listed energy company said Monday that from Sept. 1, its executive committee will be reduced to eight members from 13 previously. It will establish U.K. and U.S. presidents to oversee the respective markets, with both sitting on the committee. 

Cordi O'Hara has been appointed U.K. president, and will oversee the electricity distribution and transmission businesses, the company said. Sally Librera has been appointed U.S. president on an interim basis while a recruitment process is run. 

National Grid Ventures--the company's commercial arm--will continue to operate across the U.K. and U.S. and will be overseen by the relevant geographic president, National Grid said. 

Alongside Chief Executive Officer Zoe Yujnovich and Chief Financial Officer Andy Agg, the executive committee will also consist of a president of global capital, chief technology and innovation officer, chief people officer and a chief legal officer.
