Just recently, he filled everyone in on the price of the new Ford electric vehicles coming up, and maintained that the new pickup would be around $30,000. Farley later offered a prediction on when Chinese-made vehicles would hit the United States market. But Farley believes that it is a matter of if, not when, the barriers are brought down and Chinese vehicles hit the streets. Farley, during a town hall meeting with employees, suggested that Chinese cars are about five to 10 years away from hitting American markets. Ford is currently preparing plans to address this possibility, Farley noted, and he is not alone on this front. Ford executive chair Bill Ford noted, "We have to go toe-to-toe with China…we can't expect to keep them out forever." ## **More Mustangs** Part of that plan might involve a resurgence of Mustangs, as Ford looks to bring out a four-door Mustang sedan somewhere around 2029. The concept car has already been shown to dealers, and the name "Mach-4" has been trademarked. That tracks with earlier Mustang naming conventions like the Mach-E electric version. Reports suggest that the Mach-4 will use a modified S650 Mustang chassis. Though this modification will not be cheap, nor particularly simple, it is generally more cost-effective to modify what you already have rather than build something new from the ground up. And if Ford can get this car out on the market sooner, it stands a much better chance of making money for Ford in turn. ## **Is Ford Stock a Good Buy Right Now?** Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Moderate Buy consensus rating on F stock based on six Buys, nine Holds and one Sell assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below.
