# KBRA Affirms The Bancorp Credit Ratings with Stable Outlook

Bancorp ( (TBBK) ) has shared an announcement.

On August 3, 2026, The Bancorp, Inc. reported that Kroll Bond Rating Agency affirmed all long- and short-term credit ratings for both the holding company and The Bancorp Bank, N.A., with a stable outlook on long-term ratings. The affirmed grades include BBB+ for senior unsecured debt at the parent, A- for deposits and senior unsecured debt at the bank, and K2 for short-term instruments across the group.

KBRA’s decision reflected The Bancorp’s leadership in banking-as-a-service, particularly in the prepaid and debit card segment where it is the largest issuer by transaction volume. The agency also cited strong non-interest income growth, returns on average assets at or above 2.5% since 2023, low funding costs, and diversified long-term partnerships, reinforcing confidence in the company’s business model and strategic trajectory.

The most recent analyst rating on (TBBK) stock is a Buy
 with a $86.00 price target.

**Spark’s Take on TBBK Stock**

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TBBK is a Outperform.

The score is driven primarily by solid financial performance (strong profitability/ROE and healthy free cash flow) and a positive earnings outlook with large planned buybacks and raised longer-term EPS expectations. The main constraints are the recent slowdown in reported revenue, a meaningful step-up in leverage, and near-term margin pressure tied to mix shift toward lower-yielding fintech lending. Technicals add support via a clear uptrend, while valuation appears reasonable based on the provided P/E but lacks dividend-yield support.
