# Avista | 8-K: FY2026 Q2 EPS Beats Estimate at USD 0.43

EPS: As of FY2026 Q2, the actual value is USD 0.43, beating the estimate of USD 0.234.

#### GAAP Net Income

Avista Corporation reported GAAP Net Income of $35 million for Q2 2026, an increase from $14 million in Q2 2025. Year-to-date, GAAP Net Income reached $127 million in 2026, up from $93 million in 2025. 

#### Capital Expenditures

Avista Utilities’ capital expenditures for 2026 are guided at $615 million, as part of a projected capital spend for 2026-2030. 

#### Long-Term Debt

Avista Corporation priced $230 million in long-term debt in May 2026, which included $90 million in 3-year debt and $70 million in 30-year debt. An additional $70 million in 30-year debt is expected to be priced in August 2026. 

#### Outlook / Guidance

Avista Corporation affirmed its non-GAAP utility earnings guidance for 2026, projecting $2.52 to $2.72 per diluted share. This guidance assumes normal weather, a -$0.10 per diluted share negative impact from the ERM, an effective tax rate of 12%, and $615 million in capital expenditures for the year. The company is unable to provide GAAP earnings guidance due to the difficulty in estimating certain reconciling items.
