Four big biotech IPOs are set to price this week – along with a smaller biotech deal. Altogether, these five deals aim to raise $972 million. The August heat wave is no surprise. U.S. biotech and pharmaceutical sector IPOs produced a weighted average return of 55 percent through late July,** **Bloomberg reported.** **This week’s deals are coming hot on the heels of** **Aprimed (APMD)** – **closing today (Monday, Aug. 3, 2025) at $25.00 – up 56.25 percent today from its IPO price at $16.00 last Thursday, July 30th, and** **Scribe Therapeutics (SCTX)** – **closing today at $20.84 – up 38.93 percent from its IPO price of $15.00 the previous week – on Thursday, July 23rd.** **Veradermics (MANE)** **set the trend for the year with its moonshot – closing on Feb. 4, 2026, at $37.75 – more than double its $17.00 IPO price on its first day of trading. Fast forward to today – Monday, Aug. 3: Veradermics’ stock closed at $101.89 – nearly six times its IPO price.** **Two more standouts: Parabilis Medicines (PBLS) closed today at $33.96 – up $13.96 from its IPO price of $20.00 on June 9, 2026**. **Hemab Therapeutics (COAG)** **closed today at $45.00 – more than double its $18.00 price on April 30, 2026.** **Let’s take a look at this week’s line-up. All are NASDAQ listings.** **One IPO – Attovia – Pricing Tuesday Night, Aug. 4, 2026, to trade Wednesday, Aug. 5:** **Attovia Therapeutics (ATTO Proposed), a Phase 1 biotech developing drugs to treat chronic pruritis (itching), atopic dermatitis and IBD, is offering 12.5 million shares at a price range of $15.00 to $17.00 to rais $200 million – if priced at its $16.00 mid-point.** **Morgan Stanley, Leerink Partners, Citigroup, RBC Capital Markets and LifeSci Capital are the joint book-runners.** **Attovia, based in San Carlos, California, plans to start Phase 1 clinical trials next year for its three drug candidates, the prospectus said.** **Alamar Biosciences (ALMR), which went public in mid-April, is one of Attovia’s founding shareholders. Goldman Sachs Alternatives is a principal shareholder.** **Financial Snapshot: Net loss of $64.13 million on collaboration revenue of $1.35 million for the 12 months that ended on March 31,2026** **Two IPOs Pricing Wednesday Night, Aug. 5, 2026, to trade Thursday, Aug. 6:** **Braveheart Bio and Vogenx are set to price on Wednesday night, Aug. 5th.** **Braveheart Bio (BRVE Proposed), a Phase 3 biotech developing a pill to treat hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), is offering 18.75 million shares at a price range of $15.00 to $17.00 to raise $300 million – if priced at its $16.00 mid-point.** **Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, TD Cowen, Stifel and Cantor are the joint book-runners.** **Braveheart Bio’s leading drug candidate is a pill called BHB-1893, which is being evaluated to treat hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a genetic disease that causes the heart to beat with excessive force. HCM increases the risk of heart failure and sudden cardiac death.** **Braveheart Bio plans global Phase 3 trials of BHB-1893**: **LIONHEART-HCM, its global Phase 3 trial in oHCM, in the second half of 2026, and NOBLEHEART-HCM, its global Phase 3 trial in nHCM in the first half of 2027.** **Principal shareholders include Andreessen Horowitz. Forbion and OrbiMed, the prospectus said.** **Financial Snapshot: Net loss of $80.23 million on no revenue for the 12 months that ended on March 31, 2026** **Vogenx (VOGX Proposed),** **a Phase 2 clinical biotech developing a drug to treat post-bariatric hypoglycemia, is offering 6**.**25 million shares at a price range of $11.00 to $13.00 to raise $75.0 million, if priced at the $12.00 mid-point of its range.** **Jones is the sole book-runner.** **Vogenx is evaluating its lead product candidate, mizagliflozin, a pill, in a Phase 2B study to treat post-bariatric hypoglycemia. The condition affects some people who have undergone bariatric surgery to help them lose weight. Vogenx has licensed mizagliflozin from Kissei Pharmaceutical on a worldwide basis, excluding Japan, Korea and Taiwan.** **Vogenx, based in Raleigh, N.C., is also planning a Phase 2 proof-of-concept clinical trial of mizaglifozin in patients diagnosed with gastroparesis.** **Financial Snapshot: Net loss of $1.56 million on no revenue for the 12 months that ended on March 31, 2026** **2 IPOs Pricing Thursday Night, Aug. 6, to trade Friday, Aug. 7:** **BlossomHill Therapeutics and Latigo Biotherapeutics are set to price on Thursday night, Aug. 6.** **BlossomHill Therapeutics (BLSM Proposed), a Phase 2 cancer biotech, is offering 7.81 million shares at a price range of $15.00 to $17.00 to raise $125.0 million, if priced at the $16.00 mid-point of its range.** **J.P. Morgan and Leerink Partners are leading the joint book-running team, which includes Guggenheim Securities, LifeSci Capital and H.C. Wainwright.** **The San Diego-based biotech’s initial focus is on a certain type of non-small cell lung cancer.** **BlossomHill’s leading drug candidate, BH-30643, is in SOLARA, its global Phase 1/2 trial for EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The company noted that there is a fragmentation of care in EGFR-mutant NSCLC because no drug is effective across all EGFR mutations. (Note: EGFR stands for epidermal growth factor receptor.)** **“We plan to seek an end-of-Phase 1 meeting with the FDA in the fourth quarter of 2026 to discuss recommended dosing for Phase 2 and a potential accelerated pathway for approval for certain patients,” BlossomHill said in the prospectus.** **Principal stockholders include OrbiMed and Janus Henderson.** **Financial Snapshot: Net loss of $71.09 million on no revenue for the 12 months that ended on March 31, 2026** **Latigo Biotherapeutics (LTGO Proposed), a California biotech focused on non-opioid pain relief treatments, is offering 16 million shares at a price range of $16.00 to $18.00 to raise $272 million, if priced at the $17.00 mid-point of its range.** **Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, Leerink Partners and Guggenheim Securities are the joint book-runners.** **LTG-001, Latigo’s lead candidate, is an oral Nav1.8 Inhibitor for moderate to severe acute pain, including post-operative pain.
