# Apple Inc. requests the judge to immediately prohibit OpenAI from using its trade secrets

Apple Inc. has once again taken action in the case accusing OpenAI of systematically stealing information about its upcoming products, requesting a federal judge to immediately order the artificial intelligence company to stop using the alleged stolen trade secrets.

The company is seeking a court order requiring OpenAI to return all confidential information and to cease any attempts to acquire other non-public information. Apple requests that the order remain in effect throughout the litigation.

“If Apple’s trade secrets are used and disseminated by OpenAI, or embedded in its products and operations, the resulting damage will be irreparable,” the company’s lawyers stated in a motion on Tuesday.

OpenAI stated in a statement that Apple’s request “is based on misinformation and is entirely unnecessary.”

“We do not have, nor do we want, any of their trade secrets,” the company wrote on its website, “We are more interested in creating innovative products and technologies that can push the boundaries.”
