# Cybersecurity Stock Could Extend Rally Into August

**Palo Alto Network (NASDQ:PANW)** is pacing for its fourth-straight win, last seen up 4.1% at $361.35 and nearing the site of its mid-July record highs. The stock is extending another rebound attempt off $320, while shares are up 110% year-over-year.

Per Senior Quantitative Analyst Rocky White, PANW is one of the **25 best-performing stocks** on the S&P 500 Index (SPX) in August over the last 10 years. In fact, the stock averaged a 5.5% return in August over the last decade, with an 80% monthly gain rate. 

An unwinding of pessimism amongst options traders could help boost the stock as well. At the International Securities Exchange (ISE), Cboe Options Exchange (CBOE), and NASDAQ OMX PHLX (PHLX), PANW's 10-day put/call volume ratio of 1.51 ranks higher than 98% of readings from the past year.

Lastly, the equity's Schaeffer's Volatility Scorecard (SVS) sits at a relatively high 95 out of 100, indicating that the stock has tended to exceed option traders' volatility expectations during the past year.
