The S&P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.01% to 7,723.23. **Leading and Lagging Sectors** Energy shares jumped by 1.3% on Thursday. In trading on Thursday, information technology stocks fell by 0.5%. **Top Headline** **US Foods Holding Corp** (NYSE:USFD) reported better-than-expected earnings for the second quarter. The company posted quarterly earnings of $1.44 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.36 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $10.532 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $10.461 billion. **Equities Trading UP** - **Clearone Inc (NASDAQ:CLRO)** shares shot up 203% to $11.15 following a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that revealed fresh progress on its planned merger with clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company Vivani Medical, Inc.‘s Cortigent, Inc. unit. - Shares of **Wing Yip Food Holdings Group** (NASDAQ:WYHG) got a boost, surging 179% to $9.33.
