UK 10-Year Gilt Yield Drops Over 13 Basis Points This Week
At the close of European trading on Friday (August 7), the UK 10-year gilt yield fell 2.3 basis points to 4.915%. It plunged from around 4.94% to near 4.9% when the US non-farm payrolls report was released at 20:30 Beijing time, marking a cumulative drop of 13.3 basis points for the week.
The two-year UK gilt yield fell 2.2 basis points to 4.276%. It plunged from around 4.3% to near 4.25% upon the release of the non-farm payrolls report, accumulating a decline of 12.5 basis points for the week.
This week, the 30-year UK gilt yield fell a cumulative 11.6 basis points, and the 50-year UK gilt yield dropped 9.4 basis points.
The 2/10-year UK gilt yield spread narrowed by 0.922 basis points to +63.880 basis points.
