# Innate Pharma Jumps as Sobi Deal Boosts Secured Financing for Advancing Rare Skin Cancer Therapy

**Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB** (Sobi) and **Innate Pharma SA** (NASDAQ:IPHA) on Monday forged a strategic alliance to launch a critical Phase 3 clinical trial targeting a rare form of skin cancer.

The collaboration primarily focuses on enabling the TELLOMAK-3 study, a crucial milestone intended to fast-track the regulatory clearance of lacutamab for treating Sézary syndrome, a highly aggressive subtype of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL).

## Financial Terms And Milestone Payments

Sobi will issue an initial payment of $75 million to the biotechnology firm.

The agreement also details up to $40 million in short-term developmental milestones directly tied to the Sézary syndrome clinical program.

Furthermore, Sobi retains an exclusive option to acquire complete global development rights in the future.

If exercised, this provision could generate up to $465 million in subsequent commercial and regulatory milestones for the Nasdaq-listed company. The contract also guarantees tiered, double-digit royalties on any future net sales of the therapeutic.

## Clinical Trial Management And Commercial Rights

Innate will oversee the TELLOMAK-3 confirmatory trial.

In return, Sobi is slated to secure exclusive worldwide commercialization privileges should the pharmaceutical achieve its targeted accelerated approval.

## Regulatory Status And Clinical Potential

Lacutamab is an anti-KIR3DL2 antibody. The upcoming TELLOMAK-3 open-label study is designed to enroll patients combating both Sézary syndrome and mycosis fungoides who have already exhausted at least one prior systemic therapy option.

The experimental drug holds FDA Fast Track and Breakthrough Therapy designations, alongside EMA PRIME status.

Additionally, the program maintains international Orphan Drug classifications, underscoring its significant medical potential in addressing severe, rare non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

**IPHA Price Action:** Innate Pharma shares were up 23.70% at $2.14 at the time of publication on Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
