# HSBC Advances Share Buy-Back With Hong Kong Repurchases

HSBC Holdings ( (GB:HSBA) ) has issued an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has continued executing its share buy-back programme, purchasing 340,000 ordinary shares on 10 August 2026 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for cancellation. The repurchases, conducted via BNP Paribas Financial Markets, were made at prices between HK$161.60 and HK$162.80, with a volume-weighted average of HK$162.3102.

Since the buy-back commenced on 5 August 2026, HSBC has repurchased a total of 1,126,000 shares for approximately US$23 million, leaving its issued ordinary share capital and total voting rights at 17,183,563,842 shares. The off-market Hong Kong transactions form part of an on-market share buy-back framework under local listing and takeover rules, and the programme is expected to support capital management and shareholder returns, with further updates to follow once all cancelled shares are processed.
