# Truist Upgrades Best Buy Stock (BBY) to Buy Ahead of Q2 Earnings, Cites AI-Fueled Demand

Truist analyst Scot Ciccarelli on Tuesday upgraded consumer electronics and home appliances retailer Best Buy (BBY) from Hold to Buy. This comes ahead of the retailer's second-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings release on August 27. Ciccarelli is a five-star analyst who ranks 204 out of more than 12,000 Wall Street analysts tracked by TipRanks. He also raised his BBY price target by 17%, from $81 to $95, predicting about 15% upside. The analyst believes that demand for AI-powered devices "could result in a much larger runway" for Best Buy.
