# Optical Communication Surges in Overnight Session; LITE Up Nearly 7%, COHR Up Nearly 5%

The optical communication sector rallied broadly in the overnight session, with mainstream names posting significant gains. As of press time, LITE surged nearly 7% in the overnight session to $875.17, while COHR jumped nearly 5% to $344.51, leading the sector higher. AXTI rose nearly 5% to $77.20, MRVL gained nearly 3% to $218.05, and GLW advanced over 2% to $162.56, reflecting sustained investor interest in the optical communication supply chain.

Among other mainstream names, NOK climbed nearly 5% to $9.89, AAOI rose nearly 3% to $137.60, and POET gained nearly 2% to $8.76, contributing to the sector's broad-based advance. In the derivative names, LITX surged nearly 13% to $30.90, AAOX rose nearly 5% to $20.80, MVLL gained nearly 6% to $26.81, while LITZ fell over 5% to $10.91, showing divergent performance.

Trading activity remained robust during the overnight session, with LITE recording approximately $125.7 million in overnight turnover, COHR about $35.8 million, and AXTI around $11.9 million. Technically, most names held above their regular session closing prices, indicating strong buying momentum. With continued advancement in AI data center construction, expectations for optical module and optical communication component demand are heating up, driving bullish sentiment in the overnight session.
