# GALAXY ENT Francis Lui: Recovery Momentum in GGR Stretches into Aug

GALAXY ENT (00027.HK) +1.080 (+3.275%) Short selling $42.77M; Ratio 37.174% Chairman Francis Lui said in the interim results report that the tournament’s extended match schedule this year temporarily affected customer traffic and revenue. The group's targeted marketing and promotional initiatives helped to partially offset the impact. Importantly, Macau experienced a recovery in gaming revenue toward the end of the World Cup, and this momentum has continued into August.

Looking ahead, the group is undertaking a comprehensive renovation and upgrade program at StarWorld Macau. It has completed the refurbishment of the gaming floors on levels 1 and 3. It has also recently commenced the renovation of the hotel rooms and suites. The project is expected to be fully completed by 1Q27.
