# CKH: Operating Environment Envisioned to Remain Challenging and Unpredictable in 2H26; Prudent Strategy Upheld

Frank John Sixt, Group Co-Managing Director, and Group Finance Director of CKH HOLDINGS (00001.HK) +1.050 (+1.474%) Short selling $107.75M; Ratio 24.943% , said the operating environment is envisioned to remain challenging and unpredictable in 2H26, and the demand conditions across its businesses are expected to remain a major concern, making it necessary to continue adopting a prudent strategy.

He noted two points that warrant attention. (1) All proceeds were only received within the past seven months. In fact, substantial proceeds were received in July. Looking at the broader CK Group, CKH HOLDINGS, CK INFRASTRUCTURE, POWER ASSETS and CK ASSET all recorded substantial gains amounting to billions of HKD. (2) This reflects that the management teams and boards of the group's companies need to carefully consider the intended use of these proceeds, including not only the impact on EPS, cash flow per share, and balance sheet/credit metric targets, but also shareholder return objectives.

He hopes companies under the CK Group will be able to provide more outlook guidance when announcing full-year results in six months.

Dominic Lai, Co-Managing Director of the group, added that there are many uncertainties in 2H26 and many developments remain unclear. As visibility is limited, the group must act more cautiously.

Separately, Lai said the group has observed a gradually loosening regulatory environment for consolidation in the European market. The group frequently receives different proposals and has been exploring and evaluating various options that could enhance the long-term value of its businesses for shareholders.

He said the group remains open to further exploring consolidation opportunities or other transactions in the market, although the board has not made any decision on any transaction at present.
