On Thursday (August 13), at the New York close, spot gold fell 1.34% to $4,350.20 per ounce. Spot silver dropped 1.43% to $64.427 per ounce, trending lower with intraday volatility and trading within the range of $66.303 to $64.219. COMEX copper futures declined 0.35% to $6.5326 per pound. The contract once staged a V-shaped recovery to wipe out losses during the session, but retreated from its daily high after the release of US PPI data to finish lower.
