GRACEWINE's mid-term loss decreased to 2.73 million RMB, no dividend declared

GRACEWINE announced its interim results, with losses narrowing to RMB 2.732 million for the six months ended June 30, compared to RMB 2.745 million in the same period last year. Revenue fell by 15.6% to RMB 15.855 million, and gross profit decreased by 5.3%. The gross profit margin rose to 75.4%. Total sales volume decreased to approximately 194,000 bottles, shifting towards entry-level products, but the average price of high-end wines increased. According to a report from Economic Information Agency on the 14th, GRACEWINE (08146) announced a mid-term loss of HKD 2.732 million for the six months ended June 30, narrowing from a loss of HKD 2.745 million in the same period last year; earnings per share were 0.34 cents, and no interim dividend was declared.

The group stated that revenue was HKD 15.855 million, down 15.6%; gross profit was HKD 11.949 million, down 5.3%; gross profit margin was 75.4%, up 8.2 percentage points; and pre-tax loss narrowed to HKD 2.115 million. The group's total sales volume decreased from 208,000 bottles to approximately 194,000 bottles, and the product mix shifted towards entry-level wines. However, the average selling price of high-end wines increased from HKD 189.6 per bottle to HKD 198.5 per bottle. (wh)
